Yeah I'm 78 but I don't remember much of that decade. Perhaps mid 80s don't remember Tamiya's early 1/10th offerings either.

I remember being very tiny and just staring in awe at the massive boxes on the shelves in our local model shop and not wanting to leave when the old man decided that we should.

It took a REALLY long time, but i've actually got a new in box example of one of those early cars in the loft, number 2 in fact, the Porsche 935.

Never been able to stretch to their first one (the 934), they're so valuable it's silly, plus they don't often crop up on the bay.

YES!!

I had a couple of these as diecast cars and I genuinely saw one recently on the road and screamed like a school girl. Although hideous I loved them for some reason!!
