I was going to ask this question on another thread recently posted up but the thread author decided to trash it...
Anyways, is it actually possible to have NCB on multiple policies? Or if you had a personal car and a company car, can you actually accumulate NCB on the company car policy as well as on your personal one?

I was always of the opinion you only get to use it on one vehicle.

I doubt it as if you get an online quote it won't allow you to use more NCB than the time you've been driving.

I have separate NCB on my car and van, although a mix up by the insurers mean I've ended up with full on both.
You can choose which vehicle has your better NCB too.

If you're a named driver but don't have your own policy, do your NCB carry over?

I mean, if you have your own NCB on your own car but now share a car, does your own NCB disappear or carry on?

I have just taken out a second policy with Swiftcover; I have 6 years NCB and they have honoured this on the second policy; but have said if I complete the policy year I will have two lots of 7 year NCB to use elsewhere. Seemed a good idea to me

Admiral do something on the phone and they said "we can mirror your NCB" i didn't know what they meant, but made it cheaper.

That happened with me when i was with Swinton.
They have an office local which i used to just go to when they wanted documents etc, and instead of keeping the proof of NCB, she gave me it back. I then used it a few months later on a different policy with them, and by the end of it, they gave me back 2 separate proof of NCB's.
