its awful.
The UK talent pool doesn't seem to extend beyond One Direction and Clare Balding.

I'd also pledge 2 bullets to Lenny

Its all a con. The mums you see now with the dying babies. Were the babies that were dying 25yrs ago when comic relief started. I mean have we taught them nothing. They doing the same thing 25yrs later. I mean wtf do they do all day apart from sitting around in the dust with the expression of a farm animal on their faces. We aren't fixing their problem we are just funding their breeding. Nothing has changed after all those years and all that money. They do the same thing and make the same mistakes yearafter year. £600 million. Am sure we have afforded a water pump in every town by now.

I just don't get it anymore

If I was a multi millionaire I'd have no problem donating a large sum of money. As I'm not. I'll do my bit on jeans at work day!

well, they pay staff, like most charities. Such as, the truck driver who drives the aid to them, do you think he wants to be paid less than £10 an hour? Most charities have quite a sum swallowed by 'wages'.

So how much did they get this year? about 40mil?

Peter Kaye couch thing - not funny
Vicar of Dibley ten minute build up to one liner - not funny
Masterchef with man in drag - not funny

Got bored after that.

I won't donate as all I see on tv now are adverts to save dying fly infested kids who have hiv and endangered tigers just by giving £2 a month.

That would be fine if the people running the charity weren't making large sums of money, which I think it's wrong.

It shouldn't be a business.

Kinda agree with 3CM on this one,

We're keeping more and more of them alive when there's not the resources to maintain them, each girl we keep alive goes on to have hundreds of kids which then in turn have hundreds of kids and it all perpetuates itself.

They need educating and contraception, then work on the rest of it all

the problem is, for however long, women in these countries have had 3 kids and invariably 2 have died, which keeps the population under control.

If we give them all the aid they need, when a woman has 3 kids, they all survive, but.... because they've not been educated or provided with contraception, those 3 surviving kids have 3 kids each, who also have 3 kids each because that's how it's always been.

It's a self perpetuating problem, the more aid 'we' give them, the more children survive and then the more aid money they need to keep the system working.

It categorically will not get any better, it's always going to require massive amounts of aid money.
