Seems a lot of money for some seats. Is it right? How much would a complete Audi A8 set you back?

Would be mad to spend that much on seats, especially to go in a corrado, worth more than the car really.

Yeah, it was a bit of a money no object project I think. Teflon plated and gold plated bits in the engine bay.

Some people may say why not spend the money on an old ferrari or a porsche. Instead of forking out all that and ending up with a posh looking golf.

I think the reason people don't is you can be a somebody spending that sort of money on a golf, but spend it on a standard proper car and you won't be the somebody unless you spend 100's of thousands on the ferrari/porsche etc Its all about the circles you move in imo

Like the chap in his 50's/60's i met yesterday with the ford GT40, i doubt he would have much to say about the golf apart from "spent some money on that haven't you" whereas my cheapy old 200k corrado he appreciated and we spoke about for 30mins, not for the money i've spent on brakes/suspension/and modernizing thing etc, as none of that shows, i could of done none of that and got the same interest/reaction from a true car fan.

A ferrari is what makes ferrari seats nice, putting them in a golf doesn't do anything for the car apart from let people know you waste money. The people who cream their pants over it usually in the same situation, they will own some pretty normal car with show off wheels and walk around clutching at their latest smart or iphone as if its giving them something in common with people. I'd almost go as far as to say these people are insecure and shallow minded.

Real car people don't gold plate alternator fins. i mean what sort of motorsport has inspired that? None, its a case of trying to be fashionable and getting some attention.

Its no different to fitting a bodykit to a corsa in the 90's/early 00's

He should of left it as a standard rallye imo and not worried if people aren't posting somewhere saying how nice it is, these peoples thoughts are meaningless and it'll be boring in a year or two
