its mot time for the golf again, every year car has gone thru ok other than the dreaded emission test its common on the 1.4 mk4 golfs to burn oil and mine is no exeption, does anybody know a garage that does de cat mots etc in the manchester area, if anyone can help could you please drop me a pm, thanks

no one garage would do that for u, unless there very close friends to you ... just go and buy (if dont have cat) and put it for 1 hour ...

No the cat is ok, but it burns oil it's not obvious when on road but to high to pass emissions

You tried different grade of oil or getting it hot before you test it?

been told it should be ok on 10/40 oil and had it really hot, could it handle 15/40?
