Anybody got any info on these conversions? Something ive been thinking about for a while as i don't plan on keeping the xe for to long I've always fancied a turbo but I'm after something other than a let... Saab is out of the question due to having to cut a massive chunk from the chassis leg. If I do do it ill more than likely go for the 1600 8v.. I wouldn't want to run low boost either I'd like plenty of boost! It's not a daily car after all. Any info would be great ill take it all into account. Thanks in advance!

Lots of Boost = low compression, Not a lot of boost = high compression = better power off boost.
Courtnay did loads back in the 90s on Nova's, Few kits around, Not as easy to do as a 1.6 16v IMO.
Basically the same as a 16v though, only bit that needs to be custom is the manifold and downpipe depending on which turbo you go for. Will still need a oil filter relocation kit etc.
If you do want help or advice, U2U me as I'm hughly up on this topic.

I can't remember his name, but that VXR build was IMO a bit silly, I followed it all through. 1.6 16v Corsa B engine with VXR turbo/pistons etc would have been a better choice.

Last time I spoke to them,
Tigra was running 10.4's
Astra 10.9 or 10.7 can't remember though the last time I was over at his house it isn't 8v any more.
