He's been around a while, you've got a VRM and I assume proper contact details, what is your latest contact from him?

How did you pay him that amount of cash? Surely you didn't just bank transfer it across with his word for it?

Sorry to say it but for someone to just hand that money over and expect a delivery, repected seller or not is stupid. Like when you see these people on cowboy builders handing over tens of thousands with only a hole dug out in the garden.lol

Stupidity indeed,

I caught a program on TV the other day, was some sort of documentary where they follow various different families.

I wasnt actually watching it but it was on in the background and my ears pricked up when I heard on of the young women featured in it was trying to sell her car, and was wiring over 3k via western union to someone. Yes we've all heard of this one before, and you can guess the outcome. But I was beggaring belief that people out there were still actually falling for these things, no common sense whatsoever

Nothing wrong with what you have said. Too many stupid people out there giving scammers the chance. However we don't know any details with this situation yet so we may be completely wrong, although if the guy did transfer money correctly and got the required details he wouldn't be out of pocket...
