Just wondering what exhaust systems people run on there xe's? Mine has 4-2-1 manifold and stainless steel centre and back box. It's so loud and when it hits the limiter it spits flames :/

Just wanting something a lot quieter!

i have a big 4 branch and a custome pipeworx system and thats 2.5" it has a center and back box and is fine

I had an over-sized manifold with de-cat, 2.25" system with 1 middle box and a backbox and it was fine. Wasn't overly loud but sounded ace. Low down it was ok, but opened up with a bit more revs.

I've got a John Ashley system in 2.5" with a manifold I can't remember the name of and it's stupidly loud. Like makes your ears bleed loud :/

Is it possible to have a 2.0 corsa with a normal exhaust, so it just sounded as quiet as a standard sport

I'm running a standard manifold, decat, 2" straighthrough and backbox so bloody noisy and raspy I love it can't wait to be back out in it the noise was awesome

Yerp I botched a 1.6 Gsi exhaust onto my XE to get it on the road and through its mot. Took abit of heating and stretching of the pipe. But it went on. Sounded like a normal corsa untill it went over 2.5k then just went throaty as fuck

Yep when mine was 1st converted i ran the standard 1.4 sport system mated up to the XE manifold. Was very quiet but very slow, engine felt suffocated.
