I had some really awesome spicy ones which I bought from one of those random market stalls you'd find with people who speak no English serving.

Anyway, I've eaten them all and as they don't seem to do mail order, I'm stuck.

I've tried some cheap ones but they're minging

The ones I had weren't coated like Nobbies Nuts, they were more like a dry roasted peanut sort of covering but made with an awesome coarse chilli powder.

Can anyone help me find some decent nuts?

I've contemplated doing my own smoked almonds and cashews. Supposed to be pretty easy.

Marinade in olive oil and spices of choice. Smoke in BBQ or smoke oven.

I have to wait once a year to get the candied cashews from the German Christmas Market in Brum. They're sooooo nice, and warm too

Smoking food is the best thing ever, i bought my mum a smoker thing and its just the greatest.

Never enjoyed trout and salmon so much.

Hot smoked though, not cold

Hot smoked mackerel is as good as it gets, just so long as you smoke it the day you catch it

Unless you get one which has too much wasabi on it and it brings a tear to the eye.
