Anyone got access to a plate valuation? I know the vehicle is taxed but can't remember the date on it.

Or care to have a guess on valuation until my mate buys the vehicle?

The plate is GUY 67. He's paying £3000 for the vehicle and plate.

I guess that would be worth a fair bit - Especially as Guy is a name. Is that a dateless plate?

I emailed a company who sells the plates on the Internet with a query of valuing a plate, was a few year ago so can't remember which site it was that I emailed but I'm sure the majority of them will offer this service?

Just found this, no idea if it works but they claim to be the only one that does instant valuations

Edit: On further reading, you must own the car

Am I right in saying that you can't take a plate off a tractor? Sure I've read that before, if not though that place must be worth a fair bit.

He's a farm hand anyway and the tractor is fully restored. He's aiming at showing it. I didn't think it was an age related plate? I thought age related plates were only plates that were prefixed with a letter before or after the numbers? Pre 1961, the plates were all 3 letters 3 numbers like my old split screen.

Can't take them off tractors or put them on, end of.

Been there tried it.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
