been looking at a few lately, they all seem quite expensive and im not sure which one is good to get. only reason im after one to work with the phone is it can work with endomondo that i use for running and biking so can keep a log of everything in one app.

couple of the ones ive looked at seem to work with certain apps only which is a shade annoying. anyone use one with the phone? recommendations?

I think the Garmin HR monitors can be used with iPhone if you buy the Ant+ adapter to put in the bottom of the phone. Not sure if they work with endomondo though

Can't offer any real advice but 'Polar' is a good name in that sort of thing.

Will mean using a different app although you can import your Edmondo workouts, but Sports Tracker has a proper Bluetooth heart rate monitor add on.

Although I'm not a member of the iPoo generation I've got a Polar heart rate monitor and it's been spot on and worked faultlessly for a good few years now.

Had other cheaper makes but they've just fucked up after a while.

Why dont you just buy a proper Garmin set up for your bike? Sounds like you do enough riding to warrant it.
