Thought it would be a good little thread to start on the back of my very successful eBaying this weekend.

Bargain number 1 for £124 - Eaton M45 5th Generation supercharger from a Mini Cooper S. Listed as spares and repairs because it made a whistling noise. Its in A1 working order and came with the pleasant surprise in the form of a 15% reduction pulley fitted once I had dug it out from under copious amounts of silicone sealant!

Bargain number 2 for £22 - Wolf air compressor listed as spares or repair and would not fire up. Cracked the multimeter out and found a knackered circuit breaker switch. Replaced and working like a dream only a 25 litre tank but its perfect for what I require it for

Who else has had some good bargains from eBay lately?

Supercharger is worth around £500 with the redction pulley

Compressor is worth between £80-90 depending where its bought.

The supercharger is a replacement for the current one on my mx5 which died and was beyond repair I stripped it down to find it has self consumed all its gearbox oil and then shit a bearing. If your interested you can see the damage here - http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=122888

I've made some excellent sales recently. Locking Wheel Nut removal tool... I bought 17quid from Halfords, used it once then it sold for 25quid inc postage

I bought some dials for 170quid from Lithuania, some exactly the same currently generating interest on a forum for 250.

Buying spares/repairs is a good idea.

I want to start buying some cars that need attention and selling them on once fixed. I need to move house first though. I'm a step closer as of Monday because the Mrs found a job up here so we can finally start looking for a house

How long ago? I only paid £100 for my first one a few years ago too. There are two types floating around, one with grey rotors and one with black rotors which is the more desirable one due to its sealing properties. Now people have cottoned on to how relatively straight forward it is to install them on most engines, their value has gone up a hefty amount. There is one company selling "refurbished" ones for £800 a pop

292x21mm WP Pro Brake Kit for my old Corsa

I paid £100 for the full Kit, brand new - Discs, Caliper Carriers, Mountings, Pads etc all included.
The latest price revision for the kit in 2007 was 650 Euros...

I've still not seen the kit fitted to another Corsa over here. They were brilliant too, still going strong too!

Got a Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc for the girlfriend. £120. Was worth at least £250 at the time due to the condition.

True story.
