I need 4 new tyres for me motor but want the alignment done at WIM.

Am going down south anyway so thinking of ordering tyres and getting them shipped to WIM so they can fit it.

Am I right that alignment should be done on new tyres and I shouldn't get my car aligned on old tyres then drive 200 miles back home and put new tyres on?

How much do you normally pay per wheel to have a tyre fitted as well?

They want £15 each!!

Most places will charge £10 a corner fitted and balanced. I fit mine myself for free but before that the chap round the corner used to do them for £5 a corner for me as I've been going there and sending friends for years

As for the alignment. You should get it aligned on new tyres
If you get it aligned on worn out tyres it could give false readings in the first place. E.G. If the back tyres have warm on the inside edge more than the outside then the tyre will always throw Bit of camber into the suspension and geometry set up.
Get the tyres fitted and the. Have it aligned straight away. Will give you the best results all round

Couldn't track the Alfa right, took it back, left me waiting for over an hour, still no better, shit service, overpriced. Went to felt am tyres and it was done for half the price in a 10th of the time.

yes but it adjusts the camber so the camber of the wheel is very lightly effected by the camber of the tyre if it has worn un evenly
anyways its best to get it done after you get the new tyres on just to be sure
