i believe it is due to the c having electronic throttle and the ecu wiring is more complicated.
theres probably more to it

A few people have done it, I'm sure anyone with a bit of engineering knowledge can do it...

just put a z20let in there. easier to do

Can you use the ecu from a 1.4 Sxi aswell?

As said why put a c20let in when z20lets are probably easier and newer. Get a 1.2 and its piss easy. My mate done it running off the 1.2 ecu snd it was fine

Done both conversions, Z20LET is easier
