Just do it through insurance pal, or send it to samsung. Will be a shit screen in comparrison.

Not put on insurance yet

That won't do, the LCD is bonded to the glass, It'll be no good by the time you've hacked it apart. You need the full unit (about £150).
Plus they're glued in and if it's anything like the S3, a right bitch of a job prising it out against the bezel with a heatgun.
Even then the screen will be shit quality.
Just go insurance.
