Ive got 2 on the S8 that are bringing the ABS and ESP lights on the dashboard.

They are 01119 Gear recognition signal interrupted and 01419 Switch valve 2 for ESP (N226)

can anyone with any knowledge please decipher what the fuck that means before I take it to my man in the garage?

Ive looked on ross tech but its all words I don't understand

Clear the codes and see how it goes after that.

Then if the same codes come up you have an issue. Seems like that N226 valve or whatever it is is the problem. Do a Google search and see what it is, and try swap it for a known good 2nd hand or new one.

Cleared them twice and they come back, car runs and drives class. just the lights are pissing me off.

2002 in racing green with cream leather, needs a bit of work first, its nearly there now, Then Il get some pics.

Its got some dodgy 20inch RS8 reps on it and a max power air filter. these need to be addressed before I take pics Ive got some standard 18s going on at the weekend
