Unreal, obviously that's a first.

Shocking from Brighton and regardless of what he'd done to be investigated, you have to feel sorry for him live on TV, now being asked about Spain v Nigeria and clearly he can't think straight

Seriously can't believe how terribly it seems to have been handled by BHAFC, their twitter claiming he was told, clearly he hadn't answered his emails/messages as he's working.

What's worse, the BBC didn't have to give him the statement live on air, although, like Poyet said, it gives them a good story. And they're probably paying him a good amount to be a pundit.

What a mess!

Love how Brighton paint themselves out to be this lovey-dovey family club but it seems to me its run by a right set of cunts. Obviously still dont know for sure what Gus did but you shouldnt be sacked like that.

Has the reasoning come out yet? I'm either out the loop and missing something obvious or just been thick here? Thought he'd done well with them? Granted he wasn't in the playoffs, but did well start of season?

Rumours were he was trying to set up a move to a different club.

Got suspended shortly after sending an email around the club asking who did a poo in the away team dressing room in the second leg semi final against Palace. I doubt its that, but the rumour is he's selling himself to other clubs every time there is a job going (Reading toward the end of last season) & he was trying to get players to go with him. Then he was suspended, five weeks on he finds out he's been sacked via the BBC - On the eve of the players returning to pre-season training.

They're a mess down there, they really are. All they have going for them is a stadium and 24000 plastics keeping them afloat, for now.
