MG just failed mot on front shock, tester said it's leaking although I can't see where. It showed up as weak on the computer anyway so I'm needing them refurbished.
Has anyone ever got them done and whats the cost?
Isn't there someone on here who works for avo that can refurbish them? Or am I imagining that

For mine was only £35 plus the cost of the seal. but it wasent a full service. Just a pin has broken on the adjuster and replaced the seal. Each shock is different though.

Why to anywhere other than Avo.
Generation, if yours are bottoming out I'd say they are incorrectly spec'd rather than being shit.

They shouldn't fail them on stiffness. Advise it but not fail

Theres only 2 test centres local to me so don;t have much choice on where to go , normal garages can do MOT over in the mainland can't they? Over here it's just official dva test centres so there all strict in general.

How can something be too stiff? They're meant to test the rebound.
Sound like they're bring awkward cunts for the sake if it. Probably heading down the pub after work and laughing about how they've managed to piss you off

He drives it onto 2 plates that work the suspension to test it on the computer, I have them raised as high as they will go, just going to chance it again, think I just got a cunt of a tester
