Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can give some quick help or insight to a problem they're having... Basically they can be driving, then all of a sudden everything on the dash board goes down, no lights, nothing, but the car will still run. If you hit the above dash plastic area quite hard it starts coming back on... So basically life returns on the dashboard.
And sometimes when they try and start the car up, it doesn't start up. Sometimes you hit the dash board area, and it will work, other times it just won't.
Any ideas? The car has been looked at but these 'reputable' people can't seem to find out what it is.
Anyone experienced these problems? The car is around year 2002.
Thanks

Dash plug (on the back of the dials) is falling out, I think the usual fix is to pack it with cardboard so it can't fall out.
Common problem on C's. The imobliser is part of the dash, hence why it won't start with the issue.

The clocks 100%
Take the clocks out, put a bit of double sided tape (as thin as possible) on where the plug goes in.
Clocks may have been out before, and the clips are weak on them giving a loose connection. Happened on my girlfriends old C.
