Changed the brakes (discs and pads) on my subaru justy as they were low and it was making a bit of a rub noise when turning left (only had to have the wheel turned ever so slightly, just off centre)
since the disc/pad change the rub noise has turned into a really loud squeal/metal scrape noise, like when you run your nails across a blackboard, its rotational as it will do squeal/pause/squeal/pause as the wheel rotates, it will go away if I turn the wheel slightly to the right off dead straight.
At first i thought it was the disc surrounds (plates that go around the discs) but i've made sure they are well away. If you brake whilst its doing it, it will pause it for a second or it will sound a bit more scrapey than squeally.
Any ideas?
