I've just picked up my c20 xe and I'm just trying to see what other people got quoted to get it fitted it got the loom all ready to wire straight up

I could fit the engine and that but not that confident on the wireing side of things

You say it's all ready for the conversion.. Should be a 9 pin plug next to the ecu plug on the engine loom.. That 9 pin goes into a plug in the drivers footwell.. Original engine loom unplugs from there too. Then the wiring on the starter and alt to the battery is a straight swap

What is the base car?

If it's an 8v I'll be happy to come across and wire it if you get it in before hand for some petroleum money.

the wiring loom from the 1.2 16v comes into the car just under the steering coloum in the drivers foot well. start and charge wiring will just swap over. simple job.
