Well that's the plan of leasing one out the window come December

iv went right off the plan of buying a 2nd hand one as well.

Any ideas of the prices you would expect to pay for a new m4 on lease ? Guessing it will be a way and beyond the circa £500 you could get the e9x m3 .

Have you seen some of the dealer contributions and final GFVs some people are getting on these. Looked at then the other week but still couldn't stomach paying 18/20k to rent a car for 3 years.

I reckon you'll get new nearly new in December if they're not "made to order".

You can still "lease" Approved Used.

At the end of the day, buying a car of this kind it is inevitable you will loose money. Unless of course you keep it so long it becomes a classic.
These lease deals are hassle free motoring IMO.

What is gfv ? You either hand it back or take your gfv minus what you owe on finance then hey presto you end up with a deposit for next car ?

Yeah the question for me was it worth spending 25k+ (car i specced was 70k ish - on the basis I could a get deal similar to what was had on piston heads such as 15k dealer contributions etc) when you could pick up a second hand car for 30k and maybe on lose 10k in that time. And the answer was no for me. Good for you if you can.

My plan would have been to sell it 3 years old for circa 30k to try an claw back some of my initial deposit over what I owed on it.

Guaranteed Final Values that are higher are enter as chances are you will owe less than what they will give you back for handig the car back.

I think list with DCT was 62k. With the competition pack and a few other toys I was up around 68k.

Only took mine in for a service as well.

Though you do get a 5 year service plan etc so it is literally hassle free bar consumables etc.

As much as I really like them and how they look, I don't think I'd own one. I actually prefer the S range in Audi if I was to spend that sort of money.

If theres no PCP incentives & you really want one then buy early (2007-2008) used, cos the values going to start tumbling on more recent ones.

The m4 will be a bit more expensive and I double il be able to find one for 500/month with 3k down.

The reason why the m3 was a good shout was the 0% interest on the lease.

Were you only looking at putting 3k down? Thought min was 6k? Payments would have been more than 500 even over 4 years surely?

Well the until a deal was for 10k pa Jambo so most people would struggle to commute on that. When I had a quote I priced mine on 20k.

It is a lot of money (too much in the end for me - I'm currently looking at cayman s sport which is going to cost the same per month but I'm going to end up owning a car which should still be worth 20k when I've finished) but for the hassle free motoring, free servicing, warranty, tyres etc for a brand new car which could cost a hell of a lot if it was to go Pete tong second hand.

Personally thinking with my head a manual version would have been the better investment as I would imagine that there will be quite a demand from the purists who still want the V8 and the manual as its 'the drivers car' which should help retain prices even though we would have the M4

There was a coupe deal for 479 including vat. 10K miles per annum and 3.4k down over 24 months, but all the deals seem to have dropped off the end of the earth after last week.
