Car time!
Had this delivered today;
Yep, new car on Corsasport that ISN'T a BMW!
Therefore, I fully expect lot's of 'It's shit', 'Should have bought a Pov Spec 318i' etc etc. Fire away.
2013 Mazda 6 Tourer Sport Nav;
Ex-Demonstrator with 4.5k on it.
2.0 Skyactiv 165PS Engine
6-spd Manual
19" Alloys
Smart City Brake Support (Laser based Collision Detection Braking system up to 20mph)
i-ELOOP Regenerative Braking System
Bi-Xenon Automatic Adaptive Front Headlights with LED DRLs
Front & Rear Parking Sensors
Reversing Camera System
Privacy Glass
Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror
Automatic Rain-Sensing Wipers
Full Leather Interior Trim
Heated & Electrically adjusted Front Seats with Memory Function
Auto, Dual Zone Climate Control
Cruise Control
Front & Rear Electric Windows
5.8" Colour Touch Screen Multimedia System
Integrated TomTom Navigation System
11 Speaker BOSE Surround Sound system
Voice Controlled Bluetooth
Keyless Entry & Start/Stop
It's odd being in a Petrol after 6 years of Diesel usage, but I'll get used to it. It goes alright too, feels pretty eager to go and loves Revs. Bit noisy when being pushed on, but it's not too bad.
My last Mazda 6 Sport (2.2d 185PS) was very good, and it's term ended last week hence replacement. I chose that blindly, not really sure of what to expect from a Mazda, and was impressed. Generous spec on the cars and decent performance for less money than 'Premium' marques. This newer model has all the same kit as my last one, plus those few things that bring it up to date and that I felt were missing from the last one.
I'm happy with it. Will see how I get on with it, plan is ownership for 4 years.

I hate to say it but that is a MAJOR improvement over the old Mazda 6. It looks very much like an Infiniti which is NOT a bad thing.
Really like that and full of toys! Oh and its different!

Nah, seems to be ok. Not done any long journeys yet, that'll happen next week.
The old model had it like the above but on the passenger side of the console, which annoyed me occasionally.

I like these. My neighbour has just got the same model, albeit in a lovely red colour.
The front end is very up to date, doesn't look like a mazda.

My dad's mate has one of these and I think it's horrible. However I think that's due to the fact that it's a horrible green colour.
Yours looks minutely better.

Haven't seen one of these before, looks fantastic.
Don't get why the handbrake would get in the way though. When you're driving along wanting to change gear the handbrake will be down and out of the way. Or am I missing something?
I've looked around at Mazdas and their performance always seems to be pretty impressive, however I've heard the maintenance bills can be pretty high?

Soul Red - Lovely colour, couldn't find any in budget when I was looking. It's an extra cost over any of the other finishes too, a fancy coating like the Orange/Green on the Focus ST/RS.

Cost. I wanted a Diesel but couldn't find any within the budget I wanted to stay within (trying to spend less than I did on my last one)

Free fuel...
Tax is the same as my last one, 2.2d, £125p/a

Think so, it's included in my package though so never see any costs directly
