Because its in orbit. Just because its falling doesnt mean its moving towards an object.
Imagine if you could throw a rock hard and fast enough the earth would curve away from the rock so much that it would never get closer to the ground, it would go all the way around in a circle and could eventually hit you in the back of the head.

One of the questions Newton asked when he was trying to figure out why object fall to earth was "is the moon falling too?" It was.
