Been thinking of leaving my corsa as it is now (not spending shit loads modding it) and saving up to buy a car in like 6-9 months time, to work on for about 6 months then have it as a daily.

I will be 20 or 21 and have 2 years no claims (hopefully) by then so the cars have to be realistic.

What cars could I get to have as a project? (I like 97 BMWs but I think one of those would cost too much? I also love Novas so that could be a possibility)

Essentially, what I am asking is if you were to have a separate project car that you were going to work on for some time before it becomes your daily, what would you have?

Cheers guys!

What do you mean by a 97 bmw, an e36? If so you can get them dirt cheap.

Yeah I just mean't a BMW from that era (I like how the front end looks fairly aggresive). So anything like a 3 series or anything like that.

The thing is, I would want one thats in great condition on the outside. Paintwork costs a tonne to do on old cars (compared to their value)

An MGB or something? I know a couple of people who manage to use them as dailys.

Don't buy a convertible if you want an E36! Great cars but a 46 is same car made better with better tech so if you can stretch I'd get one of those
