What brand of discs and pads you lot recommend?

I have some budget stuff (fitted before I got the car) on front now and the pads seem to wear out slower than discs.

I just got some OEM spec discs and Kevlar Fast Road pads for my Evo...tend to go through them quite quick so can't be arsed spending big money on track spec ones.

I always thought Pagid were some of the best. But my discs and pads are 6 months old, I got a squeeling noise so had a look, one of the pads is coming away from the backplate.

We've also has issues with them at work.

Ferodo and Brembo are good though.

I've used pagid on my last 3 cars without any bother. It depends on the type of use I suppose.

Why track pads on a road car? They will perform worse than road pads on a road car.

Ebc are pretty good as well. They get a bad rep but I've never had any bother out if them.

DS2500 are pretty good for fast road, EBC also seem ok, I've had a set break up on my old Wilwoods but they were used anyway.

Same on my Impreza, talked with Ian @ Godspeed for a fair while and we settled on these as my concerns about brake squeel and dust ruled out pretty much anything track orientated.

They're on a 1.6 SPI Mk4 astra so they're not getting that much abuse

I used to have RedDot and they were great but i don't think you can get them anymore. I've used DS2500's for a few years now, and managed to get a fair few of my mates onto them too - all of whom now love them defo a winner for me

as for discs...i use Brembo and get them grooved. Black Diamond though are good...EBC tend to warp easy from what i've seen.

I've got mintex pads on mine, there meant to be shit and squeaky but they don't make a noise at all.
They came with my discs so I didn't opt for them. Aslong as I stop I don't care really
