I need suggestions for a 5 door family wagon for the Mrs which will also provide decent performance. It can be petrol or diesel and upto £16k.

She's got an 18 month old Quashqui at the minute which she loves and is brilliant but she's missing her old Astra VXR and wants something a bit quicker.

It also needs to be fairly refined as her Nissan has got every extra going.

Suggestions???
