My concerns would be how much am I going to spend on replacing worn out suspension, sensors, trim and any other moving/electric parts not covered by the above.

They often have cylinder head issues at 100k or so so I wouldn't risk it unless its had a new head fitted

If its priced right I don't see a problem. Mileage is just a number snooty people are scared of.

What year is it? can't you get a cheaper golf or does it have to be a Jetta?

If it sat on the motorway at 50 for the whole 167k miles it might have, otherwise no chance.

Mileage isn't just a number either. Someone has sat farting in it for all those miles. Its not just snooty people who don't want that.

No, have an 08 Octavia 2.0 TDi on nearly 200k & an 09 Passat on 141k, no major issues with either.

Yes Matt, because if it hasn't already done it, sooner or later it's gonna smash a hole through one of the buckets.

Plus bits will fall off and the trim/interior will be getting knackered.

Personally, i'd be concerned if it had more than 67,000 on it.
