Bought a Cat C car that now needs a VIC.

Is it MOT then VIC or VIC and MOT?

What information do I need to take for the VIC? As I don't have the V5 yet!

Thanks

Dosn't really matter tbh, you could do either or.

But if you are going to be driving it to the VIC test, and it currently has no mot, then i would get it mot'd 1st.

MOT then VIC.

Don't need to take anything, I'd just take the booking confirmation though.

Also guess your going on trade plates as it won't be taxed?

Fairly sure you can drive it to a VIC and back but don't take my word for it!

I've always trailered mine but that's because they wouldn't have been easy to insure.

Was it yours before it was cat c? How's it taxed?

Only ones I've ever done is ones I've bought from salvage and they never have tax which is why I take them on trade plates.

If it's taxed mot'd and insured shouldn't be a problem.

Sweet!

Bought it off a bloke at work. His insurance company wrote it off, but didn't pay out so they gave it back to him.

Was surprised they put it on CAT as they didn't pay out, but apparently it is!
