Are you over-boring? or just re-honing? size should be the most important factor

When I phone vauxhall they were 105 plus vat each. Autovaux is 90quid the set there on ebay for 50quid. Thats why im asking if theres decent makes to go for. Save myself some cash.

Could buy the cheap ones 10x over before you equalled the price of Vaux

Is rather spend te money first time than have to strip the engine every few thousand. Might be cheaper but the labour won't be. And if your doing t yourself you will have no car for days on end

If it was no hassle or cost to take the car off the road and the engine apart.

I'm all for saving money but you'd be pissed if it broke a few months in for the sake of 50 quid.

Again... Is it not just cheaper AND easier to buy another car? Its not like we're talking about a rebuild on a rare or exotic car here? Its a bloody 1.6 CORSA... Buy another one, sell or weigh the one with the smoky engine in.

Perhaps he's building a performance engine or just fancies doing a rebuild?

If that was the case. Then there wouldnt be any engine or gearbox rebuilds. Just weigh them all in and buy a new car each time ? No why buy another car to weigh in my shell when the other could be rotton. And the other engine could be just as bad. Mine wasnt smoking much when it was going. Lacked in power
