140bhp model, I've got the same but in blue. Had 4 of them lol.
Check the abs light comes on when starting, cooling system MUST have been overhauled or your gonna have hastle.
Ignition barrel, rusty arches, climate control unit packs up on the IS, nasty oil leak from the filter housing is possible.
Suspension (rear trailing arms especially), electric windows fuck up, rear window seals on the coupe.
Cooling system is the biggest thing.

But car looks Felt Spec

Car in picture dosn't have the Mtec kit. Has front bumper, but is missing skirts and the bigger, flat side mouldings. Most likely dosn't have the Mtec rear either.

This is the full kit, minus the mirrors.

Front to rear brake pipes go on these very very often. Especially one of this age. And there a expensive fix

Hardly expensive, usually go around the fuel tank so they can be cut and joined just before there and rerouted around the tank

When I was selling my Corsa several years ago someone offered a swap for their Mercedes C240, same plate as the Corsa... I swiftly told them to GTF as there obviously wasn't something right!

Yep cooling system has always been an issue on the E36. Plastic impellor breaks off on water pump.

So the cooling system isn't a problem, it's the waterpump

Depends mate. Some of them go over the tank. So it's exhaust, prop and tank off the get to them.

Yep, there's a joiner in front of the tank though and you can normally go around the sides of the tank rather than dropping it.

They all go over the tank and that's where they usually burst so it's much smiler to cut and join them before then and route them another way

Could re route them. But I prefer putting them where they come from the factory on customers cars.
And they don't all go over the tank. Some go around the side some go over.
Any brake pipes I make follow the manufactures originals. No matter what car or how awquard it is to do. Just how I've always been taught

Fair enough on a customers car. No point in that hassle on my banger though

I've never replaced a mk4 Astra and to drivers side brake pipe...... Why?
I'm guessing this is going to have some smart arsed reason due to why it's not possible to actually replace it properly.
But go on.......

Not just that, but that's most common.
The fan clutch can fail sending plastic through the rad, bleed screw fails on the rad causing a lot of steam, the fan switch as well.
Most of it needs to be replaced to have an easy life.

I will let you find out for yourself when you eventually have to do 1.
Customer won't be a happy chappy though when they get the bill if you insist on doing them "properly".

Care to explain?
As the chances I'll have to do one are massively slim.
