Im seriously considering getting rid of the XE corsa and getting an Astra or corsa VXR. My question is what is an XE corsa of my standard actually worth? I suspect not as much as i hope. If so then is it worth all the time/agro of breaking a car in terms of do you get much more money and do XE and corsa parts sell quickly?
Quick spec: 1996 corsa sport shell 96000 miles
20XE engine done 2600 miles since full rebuild
Calibra turbo brakes
Irmscher softstar alloys 16"
Gsi front and skirts
Irmscher airdam rear
Morette twin headlights
Bucket seats

You'll probably get more splitting it, though i have to say i have no idea whether Corsa B parts are still in demand, you'd have made a decent amount about 3-5 years ago when Airdams where going for about £300-400 a piece!

If the demand for XE stuff and bumpers, its worth doing if you can be bothered with the hassle, that said that is a lovely example and it would be a shame to see it split.

Sell it as a whole, i broke mine and never seen the money, £20 here and there is no good.

As it is, the price you would get for it as a whole would outweigh the time and effort splitting it for a little bit extra. The spec isn't "much" and you would be left with loads of shite that you would struggle to sell. Just ask Jed as he seems to be holding on to all the shit stuff and can't shift it for pennies.

Looks like a tidy example, I'd try to sell it whole personally.

Trouble is there isnt a huge market for xe corsa's, especially ones done proberly like urs ie log box as the young lads wont be able to insure em.

I think yourl struggle either way as there doesnt seem to be a market anymore for parts

There dosn't seem to be much XE Corsa's for sale nowadays. Numbers have certainly dropped quite drastically.

I would sell the plate separate also.

Wish I had space to keep a track toy.. Id buy this straight away! Lovely car (except mirrors and wheels ) when I split mine.. Made about £1500 where as a whole would probably have been about 700. That was last year though.

You'll get more, just keep it to one side until it's done, rather than (like above) taking few quid here and there

Thanks for the comments guys. I think i may advertise it complete and see how much interest i get and if not much then consider breaking. I think id get more money breaking its just the thought of spending hours and only making a couple of hundred quid extra. What do you think a realistic price to advertise it complete?
