Does any know of any decent ones they would recommend in the London and Kent areas?

I've tried candy wheels and also a company called F1moto, they wanted £200-£300 for 2 motorcycle wheels, which seems kind of excessive and that's with the tryes, bearings and seals removed.

I seem to remember people have their car wheels done which is quite a bit more metal per wheel for around £70-£80 each, maybe costs have gone up a bit?

Other option is just to paint them with a spray gun as their for a track bike.

Any info would be cool, even what price you have paid for powder coating yourselves.

Up this way powdercoating wheels starts at about £30 a wheel for 15" then £5 an inch above that.

If you're anywhere near Crayford, there might still be a little place down there that I used to use.

I used to get my stuff sand blasted and etch primed down there years ago. They did powder coating too.
They were very good in my experience and very reasonable on price, plus excellent friendly service and remarkably swift turnaround too, considering how busy they were.

I think they were called R&J or R&G Finishers/Finishes. If they're still there and doing it, deffo worth a try as I was always very pleased with the bits they did for me. Not needed anything doing in ages sadly though. And don't know what i've done with their number Sunz.

No wonder the wages are higher down England than Scotland. Paying those crazy prices to have 4 wheels powder coated. Madness.

If you are happy paying that price, ship your wheels up to me, wire over £260, and i will get them done and posted back down.

Thanks guys, will phone around.

I don't get why companies want to charge for 2 17" bike wheels the same as 4 car wheels, it seems a bit of a rip off.
