Chap at work has a kit car and has bought a 1.6 Pinto engine but it needs a bit of freshening up to make it useable.
So might need a rebore, head skimmed and probably a bit more as its an old engine.
anyone around the Heathrow area ?
Cheers

Well there was bens engine, generations engine, I think possy had a problem with his at the fast show?
There was a vx220 at efi parts the other week that had spat a leg. Steve had built that engine too
I'm not slating him or his builds in anyway here by the way. Just saying there's been a fair few mishaps however large or small that have came to light recently...

Nick,
I have had some failures, anything down to me I fixed FOC.
I have had some failures where I have driven to Manchester to fix it only to find that the problem was bad wiring to the fuel pump which was not my problem and I did not even get any fuel money

Ben's engine had a problem with the cylinder head, then the turbo, then the head gasket.
the headgasket was down to a faulty batch everything else i did not have a hand in although I did help with parts to repair.
Nevs VX220 has knocked an end out, possible oil dilution due to bad mapping before it went to EFI.
Dales engine had the same bad batch head gasket as Ben's
