Check out the type 28 inside the edge of Sulham, it has an hole in it. After WW2 it was used as target practice

Oh yeah, I've seen some of the pillboxes around the area. Just didn't realise quite how much strategic importance they had.

Theres loads on the coast between brid and hull. You've got kilnsea where theres loads of buildings on the beach and the massive bases for the anti aircraft guns. Spurn point you can easily spend a day in the old bunkers. Theres hompton cold war nuclear bunker thats all original and you can take a tour round. Then fort paull which is huge and now a museum. All well worth alook and only hour and half away from you.

Just had a look at the mansell forts on the web and they are some strange things looks like war of the worlds image.I live in the west country and we have lots of pil boxes,gun turrets and anti tank things next to old railway lines.All pil boxes sealed now though.
