I have a 1999 206 GTi 138 with a fooked rear axle.
How much is it worth in this condition if I was to sell the car as a whole?

Can get a refurbed beam for about £300 ish. Then it's about 6 hours labour iirc to swap. Might be less can't remember.

I was meaning over £200 is mega money.
Compared to axle bushes on a Ford or Vauxhall being 20 quid or so.

Dude wants £450 for the part and fitting. I really don't wannabe paying that much to get it fixed when I'm gonna sell it soon after.
MOT has 5 months left and will also have 6 months tax.

Look for a company called im axles they are cheap and have amazing customer service, i have there oilite bush beam (replaces the bearings with self lubricating bushes) on my vts and after 4 years (out of the 2 year warranty) one side popped up on the mot as slight play and they still repaired it free of charge.

You won't get much change from £300 for a refurbed IM Axle rear beam.
I would try sell as is for about £400. You can pick them up for about £600 these days so is it really worth the time and hassle fixing it?? Even fitting a good axle from the scrappies dosn't seem a good idea to make not much more money.

Cheers guys. Had someone say they'll supply and fit one for £450 but I don't wanna pay that since I'm selling it soon so he's suggested maybe buying the car off me instead.
