I don't think the words 'diesel' and 'nice' belong in the same sentence.

Big torquey engine not what these are all about?

A modern diesel would fulfil that far better than any 7 litre V8 with 83bhp.

Disgusting prospect. Better off scrapping the entire project.

The Mustang has never sold well over here, I don't get the idea of devaluing the whole brand by making it less special, just to try and flog a few more to British buyers. Keep it as a V8 with exclusivity rather than making it an everyday car and killing 50 years of history.

Something like the 4.4 litre twin turbo diesel V8 out of the Range Rover would fit the bill

Would be good if they put the v6/v8 diesels we make here in dagenham, in them.

A four pot petrol is bad enough, but a fucking diesel?
A modern V8 is as far away from the prehistoric iterations as the diesel is.
Besides, 7.0 big block's have been making 430+hp since the 60's

I live in the US, and have a v6 Camaro,

it has a 3.6 v6 with 323hp through the rear wheels, I would love the v8 but its a fleet car so I wasn't allowed it!

Ive got no idea why ford and chevy haven't done this before to be honest. they are great looking motors.

IIRC ford are only bringing the 4 pot and the v8. not the v6, I may be completely wrong on that one though,
