Not sure if anyone picked up on this?... or a repost

Got two letters from the DVLA for SORN renewals that expire on the 31st Dec, when I try to renew the SORN with the V11 reference it gives me an error.

Little google shows that from 16th Dec 2013, you no longer have to renew a SORN if the owner details haven't changed. Thats quite sensible

No, only have to SORN once now. No yearly renewal.

You also don't need to show your insurance certificate now to get road tax at the P.O.

Shame they didn't do this years ago, or never start the poxy thing in the first place.

Then I would have avoided the fines I had to pay for belated SORNs on genuinely unused cars, where the renewal/reminder failed to be either despatched or delivered.

I had this issue the other day with the nova. Kept saying the code was wrong
