Got tan leather seats that are filthy.
Any potential damage I can do with steam?
Should I use any other chemicals?
Recommend me a steam cleaner (up to 50/60 squid)

do not steam leather seats, you can burn the leather and cause them to rip.
Use some cheap baby wipes to clean them and then some leather conditioner.

The stuff john recommended to me done a great job on my black seats. Can't remember what its called but it cost about 12 quid from ebay for cleaner and conditioner.

Just use Megs APC, don't bother with conditioner unless said seats have really dried out or have UV damage.
I have a small steam cleaner and I don't think given an inch or so clearance it would do any severe damage, but it is only a cheapy and cannot ever say I have tried it.

Done great on my seats and everyone else who uses it seems to like it. Just a cleaner and conditioner.

Don't actually need to condition modern leather as it is essentially a sealed finish. Conditioners generally sit on the surface & attract dirt making the leather dirtier & shinier more quickly.
The cleaner works ok, but again a leather safe APC such as Megs is much more effective. I then use CarChem Leather Armour or G-Techniq L1 to protect the leather - this helps to slow down dirt build up, dye transfer and L also has very mild abrasive resistance to slow down the wear on pronounced bolsters etc too.
I only use conditioner on older leather or if a client is insistent they want it conditioning.
Oh and in answer to the original question, I never steam clean leather as you can cause far more harm than good with one on leather.

Not at all. Have no association with them whatsoever as I refuse to pay to become 'authorised' by any company. Some of their products are great, some of them less so. I also in some cases have to use what the client requests!
