Whats the general opinion on sony ICE - H/U's, speakers, subs and amps?
they n e good, neva really heard a sony install, don't really know how they rate in comparison to something like Alpine for instance, which i've got at the mo.

i asked before about sony entry level HU and people say they are sh!t. also my mate doesnt think highly of sony amps but i dont half fancy one of them pentagonal subs

yeah same ere. that's why i was asking really, they've got a lot of really nice stuff out.
i wasn't really looking for entry level stuff, wanted mid range stuff.

sony is a bit pricey forhte performance - its reasonable i suppose but u can do better for the money and the subs are crap from my experience - i suppose the benifit is that they have a good warrsnty and that to back them up
i wud get sumthign else kenwood or something

i was born there (Heath hospital), lived their for a couple of years got some friends their too!
can't remember exactly where i lived though, remember i lived in new homes built by Whimpy on some close! my mum will know!

Oh, i have the sony CDX-MP70 and i think it's great to be honest, just no-one else rates them for the cost.

hey there. im sort of in the middle here.
i dont think sony are the best, but you can do worse.
i've never liked em that much, but i may have to get a sony hd unit.
im thinking of the MDX690 its about £300 though!
or... i could go alpine £289 but its a bit ugly me thinks
so what should i do?
my heart says stick with alpine and enjoy your music!

My m8 has the sony with the revolving face plate.
the sound reproduction isnt too bad and like was said above. you could do a lot worse.
But for the price you could buy a lot better

i got sont.......... cdx 900 i think it is head unit and its wicked........... also got 2 xplode subs like shrews pics above but you only get the best performance from them if they are in the right size box and it MUST be ported.........
can get good deals on these if anyone interested.

i have a cdx m730 (i think is that the one with the flip pannel, or is it the cdx m730) anyway mine is great cant complain one bit, but i dont know what their speaker s and amps are like. my mate works for them and he said he really like the stuff.
