friend of mine had this for a while . after an accident he thought it was time for a newer car and i snapped his hand off.

had quite alot of work done recently , new rear archs , brake lines , fuel tank and a few other bits to keep it running sweet.

and the reason he sold it

dosnt looks so bad , quite a low speed impact and all the panel gaps are still good

its only 8v . future plans maybe an engine conversion but for now engine seems to run well , recent cambelt and full service so would be a shame to take it out yet.

no engine managment or emission lights on the dash , first old vaux iver ever owned that didnt have it on

I'd stick with the 8v mate

Full manifold and system, fast road cam and a few other bits and it would shift.

Not as powerful as XE or LET but quite cool and certainly different!

Itl be the lower powered 8v too.

My bro had an SRi 130 engine in his Mk3 Astra with a few bolt on bits like full system, filter etc, and it didn't shift. Another mate had a bog standard 1600 16v Tigra at the time and it pulled right away from the Astra.

I hate those 8v engine's. They sound shite, and even with some minor bolt ons, they are pathetic.

I would keep it in the car in question though. Get it sorted back up, keep it in mint original condition and it will fetch decent money.
