Just been out to look at it, looks easy to wrap based on my previous wrapping attempts of boot lids etc.
However im not sure wrapping is going to work too well due to all the rivets these things have in the body panels, sure the wrap will become raised over them? I suppose I could drill them out and then paint them by hand with a touch up or something after

Didnt think of the rivets. I'm sure a quick search on the web will help with the best way to do it.

Probs best to drill them out and fit new ones after then touch them over with a paint stick IMO
Pretty much come round to the idea now and it doesn't work out that much either
Just got to decide on my colour, after a bit of reading using cast vinyl is the way to go for durability
Could go metallic with this range

or Solid gloss with the cast range at the bottom half of this page

Remember to buy a lot more than you need for when you need to re-do panels as the colour will never match if its a different roll.
Any idea is better than painting it yourself. Nice glossy dark grey gets my vote.

They don't unfortunately do a glossy grey in the RiWrap stuff
Closest to grey is the titanium stealth metallic

I like the titanium. Email them and see if they can send you samples.
The expensive stuff will give more of a gloss but the cheap stuff I used felt great to work with. Maybe worth getting samples from different companies and compare them.

Good stuff. The only problem I found doing it was if its too cold it will tear whilst stretching so make sure you somehow get your outside space in the middle of nowhere warm

I may end up waiting til the summer if its going to be a cunt, although doing it this way may mean I can get it done sooner rather than later

Id recommend doing it in a unit/garage tbh. No harm in buying some and testing it out though
Will look forward following your project thread, best project on here at the moment.

Needs to nail down a colour. Iv requested a few samples of various ones.
What usually happens in areas like door shuts on cars that have been wrapped? Are they simply just left a different colour?

Steve have you ever looked at something called raptor liner?
A mate of mine has a land cruiser that he uses purely for off roading. He's painted it bright orange with the stuff
Goes on like paint out of a Shultz gun. When it sets it goes rock hard but has some flex in it so it's pretty much unscratchable.
Although it's kind of a textured finish. Rather than a smooth one that your after.

Iv heard of similar stuff. I'd probably get annoyed with a rough finish. I don't mind matte as long as it's smooth lol

Think most people leave them and just cut the wrap to the edge/wrapped around by 1mm. When I did my nova though I did it up to the interior panels, even took all the glass and surrounds out but most wouldn't bother.
