I don't recall seeing much mentioned about these, but it does seem to be opening up vastly.
New Domains Available
As we're a limited company and have Ltd in our website name, im extremely keen to buy mycompany.ltd
I cant imagine swapping over email addresses to these domains and in general all the new extensions seem very odd, but in ~3-5 years time, it might seem more normal and I think it may easily define a business type by its domain extension.
Anyone else started looking into these?

It's interesting that they're selling those now, most of them aren't compatible with any browsers at the moment.

(Missed the pre-order bit, ignore me)
Still, it's a shame you can't buy some of them from anywhere more reputable. 1&1 are pretty shit.

Can't see the point in the slightest.
Everybody types .com or .co.uk
Loads of new extensions will just confuse

More and more people are advertising now Ed.
Atleast 123 reg and Vidahost are too.
There is also some first refusal options for current domain owners but I'm not sure if that extends to all domains or just a handful?
I.e mydomain.co.uk has first refusal (and up to 5 years I think) to buy mydomain.uk

There's only a finite number of .coms and .co.uks - it makes perfect sense to add more TLD's to accommodate for everyone.

For specific things like .music or .film I agree, but for .ltd where does it end......plc, llp, inc etc. Thats way too much.
