So after much umming and arring. I've decided to go for
An all clear light layout on the mini.
Apart from the rears which will be both red and clear.
Now I won't be tinting any reflectors! Just changing the amber to clear and because it's a single unit, ill have to tint the red one just below it.

What do people recommend

Laminex
Tint spray and lacquer
Other option?

I never used plastic primer when I smoked rear lights with a spray. I just cleaned the lenses, gave them plenty of light coats with at least 20 mins between each coat. Left for a day then did the same with the lacquer. After a week or so gave them a light going over with fine wet and dry and polished them up.

Had them for ages with absolutely no signs of any chipping at all.

I used some red tint spray on my z4 rear lights. Came out well.

Needs re-doing now as they've faded, but the spray is cheap enough.

Have to use Green bulbs for the indicators iirc. Never bothered to do the rear lights on my car. Can look good though. I would use the film stuff.
