so , i am moving from Sky to BT. has anyone done it ?
I called sky this morning to cancel down my sky expecting some kind of offer but nothing. Well i was offered a "massive discount" 10% off for 12 months but it would enter me into a new contract. hardly a massive discount when my total cost is £100 / month and it was only 10% off of my tv subscription so a massive £6 off.
I guess its time for a change anyway all be it i am a bit disappointed 
At least i can watch moto gp on bt sport.

What are the let downs of BBC? Channel wise?

I don't know to be honest, i will have to wait and see. I cannot handle seeing all these new sky customers being offered half price this and free that and i am sitting here being bent over. time for change good or bad it has to happen. even if i do go crawling back in 12 months.

They will probably ring you up with 2 weeks to go and make you a better offer.
From what I and others I know have seen recently they have often stopped giving out offers to people. Some do get them but often nothing. Its only when people actually go through with the cancellation that they ring back up after a while and make an offer.
I guess its to stop the calls from people who want it cheaper but are not prepared to move.

Im already on 50% off... Rang to cancel and was offered a further 25%
Turned down though as got the lot for £25 pm for 25 months - new customer in mrs name

I called them today. Got my bill down from £27 a month to £19 with free movies for a month. Not fantastic but better than nowt.
Managed to get my mum and dad on the 25th anniversary deal but left it too later to cancel mine and get flat mate to sign up for new contract.

I called them to cancel... Told woman i was moving to a mates who has full package already... Said i had to wait the cancellation period but it was fine..
Started new one online in mrs name  with my code
Anyone asks... We split up and wants her own

Thanks mate. I think I will let it all cancel down and see what Virgin and bt can offer before I go back.

Not sure if you have them by you, but theres a bloke who works for virgin in our shopping centre, he always has better deals than the internet and he also offered me almost a match price for sky but would pay my last 3 months so could end my contract. Only downside is its 18 month contract
