Did say I would post pics eventually
Had it a few weeks now, done a couple of little bits to it.
Was lowered when I got it, not really investigated what stuff it is, feels good though, not bouncy at all.
Had some sort of s/s catback exhaust not sure what make it is, cant see anything on it, (can anyone shed any light by the tailpipe design?)
Since purchasing I have fitted h.i.d's and replaced all front facing bulbs with white light ones.
I've also fitted a john ashley 4-1 manifold, and an induction kit.
Im quite impressed for what it is, Ive come down from a 300bhp Astra gsi turbo to this. I do a round trip of 60miles everyday.
Has full leather and a sunroof, which I'm led to believe is kinda rare...?
Had the footwell leak when I got it which has been fixed, has a couple of dings on n/s 1/4 to be fixed by dent devils next week.
Longer term plans include a z20leh and some speedlines, but till I buy something diesel the 1.8 will stay, and ill do little bits as and when I have the time.

Always thought the 1.8 in one of these is a bit of a sleeper. Not your standard 1.2 or 1.4

Sounds like a c20xe with the 4 branch, it's nippy enough for what it is.

Standard 1.8 aren't great power
I've got a 1.4 one. Had a 1.8 about 5 years ago
Full leather is rare and sunroof, although I never like sunroofs.

astra did 20mpg on a good day!
Corsa even through it's the 1800 is excellent on fuel.
Astra was costing a fortune to maintain too, turbo's are rubbish.

Had 2 1.4 SRI's now lovely little cars, always fancied the 1.8 a few years back but wasn't sure how good they went. What are they like? Best colour the black to look lovely when all polished and clean.

Nice looking corsa. Few simple mods on a C makes them look so much better.

I had a Mk4 SRi with the same engine (heavier car) and it was excellent on fuel. With mixed driving on a run to Blackpool and back, it averaged close to 50mpg.
Also, did you have another Mk4 GSi after the blue 1 that had those Masitaly wheels on it?? I thought you sold that 1 a few years back.

Compared to a 300bhp astra it is excellent on fuel.
I'm getting roughly 45mph out of it, which is good as far as I'm concerned.
I'm sure internet statistics will tell you otherwise, real world experience of ownership means nothing
And the astra was a fucking money pit, turbo's are shite, airflow meters are shite,
My options were buy a garrett set-up for 4 figures and less mpg, or sell up and be a bit more realistic.
Anyway, my opinion, my cars, fuck off

Correct yeah, had a couple of non forum friendly focus runners since the astra, not worth posting, been doing the commute since though.

45mpg is very good if that is a genuine figure.

I know, but I'm not doing that for a while.
I'll get something newer and more economical for the commute by then.,
