The other day an Apache helicopter had to make an emergency landing in a field near by, and now a light aircraft has had to do the same...

Those Chinooks are fucking huge. Remember when one landed on my old primary school field during the Selby floods. Couldnt believe the size of the thing!

Get to see, or get woken up by when they do middle of the night flights, them (along with Apache's, Merlin's and odd the American stuff like Black Hawks) quite a lot around here, usually a few hundred feet off the deck zooming past the house

I was working in Stonehaven on Monday and saw about six Merlin's flying together and on the way home a lot of army landys and trucks driving around, thought there must have been an excercise on or something.
