Couple of cheap washmitts, some microfibers, 2 buckets if you really have to and some collinite 476s is just about all you need.
Was going to say that a good wax every three months makes keeping the car clean much easier.
The 476 is stupidly easy to work with as well (not that I've tried that many other brands).

Aside from the £19 bucket, that all looks reasonable
Thanks!

Haha yeah. I just use 2 normal ones tbh. The grit guards do work though!

Then all you have to do is try to not look like a complete bell end wearing your wash mitt whilst using your two buckets and brushes

I've got a £1 bucket.
Depending where you read the grit guards make it worse, definitely not needed if you use 2 buckets. That's a discussion for DW though.

Can't quite get my head around a gritguard and how it works, two buckets seems fine for me. It makes a noticeable difference to the visible state of your mitt... so that's good enough for me.

I don't bother with the gritty guard een though I have the same bucket linked above. I use it's because hold a loads of water, then just a regular cheap bucket.
It's amazing how much dirt the second bucket removes

I use cheap buckets from Sainsburys with grit guards in. Just spray W on one and R on the other.

I'd also recommend quick detailing spray to use as a final protection if you aren't going to wax. I swear by Dodo Juice Red Mist. Just spray and wipe over with a microfibres after washing and drying. Dead quick but provides a final glossy finish and some protection.
