Surely if you hit a van in a train, there's some degree of blame you can place on other people. Like whoever made the track go under a van.

That was before my mainline training when I was just shunt driving. I wasn't at fault. Track runs along the wall inside a warehouse, there are 3 road crossings over said track fitted with warning lights and alarms which were all on at the time. Van driver reversed out and claimed he didn't think the warning lights/alarms were for him. Depends how you look at it I suppose, could be thick as shit or piss poor site briefing.
The ironic thing was he was welding a fence which his van them took out when I smashed through him.
The place is an absolute H&S nightmare in all honesty, surprised they've not been shut down
