I was watching that Stacey Dooley doc on Detroit the other day, it's like a nuclear wasteland in the middle of the US

The motor industry has endured a slight revival in the last couple of years, night help turn the tide?

Interesting medium to view decay though, great use of tech. Must be an absolute heck hope to live in though!

If you look closely, next doors grass is greener in the first picture. So even next door is becoming run down.

Probably just the picture as everything else looks fresher in the dull photo, paintwork etc.

The problem with Detroit is their tax, a $1 home could have $7k in tax a year, that is why people just abandon them. Also high tax yet few police, firemen, ambulances, oh and the city is bankrupt. The Indian Village is a beautiful area with stunning Mansions that cost less than $300k for over 5000sqft home. Poor bastards, their grass used to be green and now it's slightly more yellow.

The house on the right is boarded up too in the last photo..

It also says a lot about a community when the person nextdoor with the immaculately manicured garden cant be bothered to pop next door with the mower just so that it doesn't LOOK like its empty.
